The rates go up as the slopes become more perfect.  Early in the season it can be as cheap as $15/day.  Later it goes up to $40/day.  The best bet is to buy a sason lift ticket!  In 99, they were $650, but in the last few years they've been $299 before June1st, then $399, etc.  Check their website for details & deadlines.
We have house rules about cleaning the house each weekend, because there is no maid services unless we pay $70/visit.  Last year we did not need to use this service at all!  A clean house is a must & we are diligent about making sure members do their part.
Check out Seven Springs website for slope information.
There are 3 bedrooms, a loft & a sleeper sofa.  That is a total of 12 "bed spots."  They are on a first come/first serve basis for house members.  (see House Rules for the1 exception). Guests can snag a bed spot if there is one left after the expected house members are in.  When all beds are taken, members & guests use available floor space.  Many bring air mattresses or sleeping bags & pillows & are quite comfortable.  (The house has 3 bathrooms).
From DC, it is a 3 -3 & 1/2 hour drive.  Some of us have made it in 2 &1/2, with a radar detector.  ;-)  General directions - 270 North to 70 West to Breezewood - PA Turnpike.  Exit 10-Somerset.  Then 20 minutes to our house.  (See house directions for details).

That's a good question!  In 99, we needed 32 to cover the cost of the rental, although the prices were lower.  In 00 & 01, we had 25.  We would like to lower that if possible.  In 02-03 we had 28. The final number needed will depend upon the increase in rental fees which will be provided by the resort in mid-July.  Most likely it will stay around 25 however.

Christmas week & weekend, New Year's week & weekend, President's Day weekend & Martin Luther King's B-day weekend.
On an average non-holiday weekend, we usually have 5-12 people.  The holiday weekends are indeed a different story!  Then can get very crowded.  (New Year's, MLK & President's Days, especially).  We've had as many as 22 people one holiday Sunday night.  But that is extremely unusual.  We've also had a number of weekends were there were only 2-4 people.  Of course during the week the house is almost always empty!!  A good time to take off work for a much needed ski break!! :-)
QUESTION 3 - When does the holiday guest fee rate of                                             $40/night take effect?
